1.6T/800G OSFP Optical Transceiver Module Testing Solution
As AI computing demands continue to surge, 1.6T optical transceivers are rapidly moving toward large-scale deployment. This transition places stringent requirements on clock recovery equipment, particularly for eye-diagram testing of 106.25GBd PAM4 signals. During high-speed signal testing, eye-closure artifacts frequently occur, and conventional clock recovery units often fail to extract a clean clock from such degraded signals, leading to distorted oscilloscope measurements and unreliable test results.
To address this critical challenge, we are proud to introduce the D6400B 1.6T Clock Recovery Unit. This advanced instrument is specifically engineered to recover a pristine clock signal from severely closed-eye patterns, providing a stable trigger for sampling oscilloscopes to perform accurate 106.25GBd optical eye-diagram measurements.

Key Performance Advantages
Wide Data-Rate Support: Extracts clocks from PAM4 signals across a broad range of 24–120 GBd, ensuring compatibility with current and next-generation high-speed interfaces.
Broad Wavelength Coverage: Operates over 1250–1650 nm, covering all major single-mode optical test scenarios.
Fast Locking & Flexible Control: Features rapid lock-in capability with both fully automatic and manual locking modes, giving engineers flexibility for diverse test environments.
Versatile Clock Division Outputs: Provides multiple divided clock outputs at 1/2, 1/4, 1/8, 1/16, and 1/32 of the recovered clock frequency.
High-Quality Output Signal: Single-ended output impedance is 50 Ω, with a single-ended clock output amplitude of ≥300 mVpp @ 12.891 GHz.

Core Jitter & Sensitivity Specifications
Ultra-Low Intrinsic Jitter: RMS intrinsic jitter is < 130 fs, ensuring minimal added noise for high-fidelity measurements.
Loop Bandwidth: Typical loop filter bandwidth is 4 MHz, optimized for stable recovery under real-world signal conditions.
Exceptional Receiver Sensitivity: Under 106.25GBd PAM4 at 1310 nm, the device achieves a sensitivity of ≤ –8 dBm, enabling reliable testing even with low-output-power optical components.
Real-Time Optical Power Monitoring: Built-in input power monitoring allows engineers to quickly verify and troubleshoot optical path status, streamlining debug workflows.

Connectivity & System Integration
The D6400B is designed for seamless integration into both R&D and production environments:
Dual Communication Interfaces: Supports USB virtual serial port and Ethernet for flexible connectivity.
Remote Command Control: Fully programmable via remote instructions, enabling easy integration with automated test equipment (ATE) and facilitating the construction of high-throughput automated test systems.
