16 channels DWDM MUX & DEMUX Dual Fiber LC/UPC 1U Rack
16 channels DWDM MUX & DEMUX, with Monitor & EXP ports; Dual Fiber LC/UPC; 1U Rack
16 channel DWDM Mux is designed by LightOptics® to allow easy, gradual, logical and cost efficient expansion of network bandwidth using industry leading passive WDM technology. Main advantage of DWDM Mux Demux is its passive nature – no power supply or cooling necessary, robustness – no special micro-climate requirements and as passive element, it has MTBF 100+ Years.
Passive Mux DWDM is – it is fully data rate or line protocol neutral – it is used with colored transceivers such as DWDM SFP, XFP, SFP+, SFP28 transceivers, it's transparent to any rate, any service multiplexing and upgrade and supporting such applications as 1G/10G/25G Ethernet, SDH/SONET and 8/4/2/1G Fiber Channel. It’s simple to install, requires no configuration or maintenance.
This passive DWDM multiplexer and demultiplexer is based on TFF (Thin-Film Filter) technology, allowing to organize 16 duplex, protocol independent parallel ITU-T G.694.1 compatible Dense Wavelength Division Multiplex (DWDM) data streams over pair of single mode optical fiber.
It is manufactured as standard 1U high 19” sub rack fitting any standard equipment rack for simple installation and modularity.
This DWDM chassis system offers network equipment manufacturers a more scalable and higher-density solution to add DWDM capability to their existing and new networks by plugging it to upgrade port and expanding link capacity up to 32 channels.
